Live-in Personal Assistant – Coventry
A quiet, structured role requiring clarity, independence and good judgement
Role Overview
This role involves personal care, household tasks, and mobility support. Most of the shift is quiet, with short periods of practical support. Each task has clear start and finish points. Manual handling is light: a stand aid is used twice daily, with no manual lifting. Getting out of bed takes around five minutes. Support at mealtimes is informal, with no specialist assistance required. Cooking follows set recipes.

There are no clinical duties, no medication responsibilities, and no care records.
Mobility support is assisted and routine. Household tasks reflect normal day-to-day upkeep. Occasional larger tasks, such as decluttering, are not part of the regular routine.
You work directly with me. I set tasks, routines, and expectations. There is no external manager. You are on shift and available if needed, but there is no expectation of continuous activity. In an emergency, you would respond in a practical, common-sense way.

About Me
I communicate via iPad, think clearly, and give direct feedback, so tasks can be explained and adjusted quickly. I spend much of my time on university study or other interests and enjoy conversation about current affairs, AI, and different perspectives.
The setting is a large, well furnished, and well kept home. You have your own bedroom and a separate lounge with modern facilities, so you can withdraw, relax, and pursue your own interests between duties.
“I worked with Gareth for several years. His physical disability does not affect his cognition. Communication is clear, instructions are precise and the working environment is structured and organised. The role suits someone who respects boundaries and follows established routines.”
